Meet the Doctors

Dr. A. Christopher Bernardini

Dr. Chris graduated from New York University’s College of Dentistry in 1982 and immediately joined his father’s practice, bringing the same level of care and comfort to all patients as his father did. In addition to being a general dentist, Dr. Chris developed an interest and passion for implant and cosmetic dentistry, dedicating hundreds of hours in continuing education every year, in order to continue providing the best dental treatment available for his patients. Between Dr. Chris and his beloved father, four generations of families and more have become part of their dental family. Always bringing optimal oral health to the Staten Island community and the surrounding areas, 2022 marked seven decades of providing exceptional dental care.

Dr. Chris’ goal is to continue offering a safe and comfortable environment and have a team as compassionate as he is, to treat and provide not just dental health, confidence, and functionality, but the overall quality of life while making our patients feel like family. He will always help patients conquer their fears by building genuine relationships and trust. This allows him to continue doing what he loves.

When Dr Chris is not taking care of his patients, he is a cowboy (unless he is studying). After the pandemic and watching Heartland and Yellowstone, he found the pleasure of learning everything about horses. Every minute he can escape, he will be riding his horse Skywalker and wearing his cowboy outfit.

Dr. Kristina Accardo

Upon graduating from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Kristina Accardo immediately joined Staten Island University Hospital, providing comprehensive dental care to the local patient population. From the moment we interviewed Dr. Accardo, her exceptional qualities were evident, making her a perfect addition to our team and a valued colleague to Dr. Bernardini. She immediately demonstrated the same high level of care, compassion, knowledge, and quality of work that are hallmarks of our practice.

Dr. Accardo's interest in dentistry began at an early age, sparked by her positive and enjoyable experiences with braces and regular visits to her dentist and orthodontist. Her passion for science, particularly biology and chemistry, deepened as she grew. Dr. Accardo is also exceptionally personable, possessing a natural ability to build trust and ensure patient comfort.

She loves to make a difference in someone’s life while providing comprehensive care, restoring their dental health, confidence, and functionality, and elevating the overall quality of life. Outside of the office, Dr. Accardo enjoys being outdoors, playing lacrosse, working out, playing the guitar, and spending quality time with her dog and family.
